Dr. Chase McRae

Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Chase McRae brings over a decade of ministry experience and a deep passion for preaching God’s Word, discipleship, and shepherding the local church. He has faithfully served in a variety of ministry roles including Senior Pastor, Interim Pastor, Student Pastor, and Youth and Children’s Pastor, leading congregations and ministries across South Carolina. Since 2021, he has served as Pastor of Ashton Baptist Church in Walterboro, where he has led worship, guided church leadership, invested in discipleship, and ministered to families and the community.

Pastor Chase holds a Doctor of Education degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity from Liberty University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel. He was licensed into Gospel ministry in 2011 and ordained in 2015. Alongside his pastoral ministry, he has also served in education as a teacher, investing in students both academically and spiritually.

Chase and his wife, Tindall, are blessed with four sons. As a family, they enjoy spending time together and making lasting memories. In his free time, Pastor Chase enjoys coaching football, reading, writing, farming, and fishing.

Pastor Chase’s desire is to faithfully preach the truth of Scripture, disciple believers, and help people grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He considers it a joy and privilege to serve the church and walk alongside others in their spiritual journey.

Associate Pastor of Worship and Discipleship


We are seeking a Pastor who will provide spiritual leadership and vision for First Baptist Church Darlington, guiding us to faithfully follow Christ and fulfill the Great Commission through worship services and bible studies. We seek to glorify God, build a strong church family, and reach our community with the gospel.

Director of NextGen and Outreach

Open Position

We are seeking a Director of NextGen and Outreach who is passionate about discipling the next generation and leading outreach efforts to impact our community for Christ. This leader will invest in children, students, and young adults, equipping them to KNOW Jesus, GROW in their faith, and GO share the gospel. Additionally, they will develop and oversee outreach initiatives that extend the love of Christ beyond our church walls, reaching our city and beyond with the hope of the gospel.

Church Administrator

This position plays a vital role in supporting the mission of First Baptist Church Darlington by providing administrative and organizational assistance to our pastors, staff, and ministries. This position helps coordinate church communications, schedules, and events, ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Through dedication and service, the ministry assistant enables our church family to KNOW Jesus, GROW in Him, and GO for Him effectively.

Rujon Williams

Property Maintenance Manager

Rujon is dedicated to stewarding the facilities and grounds of First Baptist Church Darlington, ensuring they are well-maintained and ready for ministry. He oversees repairs, upkeep, and improvements, creating a safe and welcoming environment for worship, discipleship, and community outreach. Through his work, he helps support the church’s mission by providing a space where people can KNOW Jesus, GROW in their faith, and GO serve others.
