F.A.Q.
Below you will find some frequently asked questions for those who may be visiting for the first time or would like more information on what our Church offers to our community.
What time is Bible study (Sunday School) and the worship service?
9:15 a.m. is our Sunday School hour. We have classes for all ages from cradle to senior adults. All of our adult age groups have several options. Ask a greeter as you enter. We will be pleased to help you and your family locate a class to meet your needs.
10:30 a.m. is our blended service featuring our worship songs, prayer and announcements and the studying of God's Word.
What do I wear?
We certainly don’t have a dress code, but we thought you might like to know what to expect when you arrive. Members and guests who attend our Sunday morning service or Wednesday evening activities are very relaxed and casually dressed. Those who attend our Sunday morning services wear everything from casual or business casual to a suit and tie or dress. So, feel welcome to come just as you are. We are honored to have you as our guest.
Where do I park?
The church parking lot wraps around the back and side of the church. Overflow parking is available across the street at the parking lot beside Hardee's. Handicap parking is available in the back and on the side of the building. There is a drop off area at the back lobby door as well.
Where do I go once I am parked?
When you arrive at First Baptist, Darlington, you will be greeted at the doors by our greeters. These are folks just like you who understand how stressful it can be visiting a new church. They will be readily available to help you or your family get settled in for a great morning.
Are the buildings handicap accessible?
Yes. The worship center has an inside ramp from the back lobby door. Restroom facilities are also handicap accessible.
What if I have kids?
The Children's Ministry offers a Nursery for babies through 12 years old during the Sunday School hour at 9:15 a.m. and babies through 5 years old during our Worship hour at 10:30 a.m. The greeters can show you how to get to the Children's area in the first floor of the Jones' Building. Children over 5 years old are welcomed and encouraged to join you in the worship service.
Am I going to have to stand up and be singled out as a visitor?
No. During the worship services, you will be given an opportunity to complete a guest registration form located in the pew rack. Please complete this card and place it in the offering plate as it passes later in the service. Your personal information is kept confidential. We do not sell or distribute the personal information of our visitors or church members. However, the church may use that information to express our thanks for your visit and to express our love to you as a Christian church family.
How can I give my tithes and offerings?
We have several ways that you can give your tithes and offerings to the Church: Sunday Mornings during the Worship Gathering, mail it to the Church Office, or sign up for weekly electronic drafts.
Are the sermons online somewhere that I can watch them later?
Yes - We live stream our Sunday Morning Worship Gatherings on our Facebook Page and they are also posted later on our YouTube Channel.
